Your Eminence Archbishop Demetrios,
Your Eminences, Beloved Brothers in our Lord,

It is with great sadness that we have heard about the devastating wildfires in Greece which have destroyed inhabited areas and woodland, caused the loss of over 70 persons, injured many others, and devastated homes.

On behalf of the clergy and faithful of our Romanian Orthodox Metropolia of the Americas, we offer condolences for the loss of so many brothers and sisters and assure of our prayers for all those affected by these tragic events. We pray God to bring peace, mercy and comfort to all the victims and their families!
