The Romanian Orthodox Church "St. Martyr Ioan Valahul" in Barranquilla, Colombia, continues to strengthen its connection with Orthodox communities in the region under the guidance of Father Esteban Díaz. During the weekend of February 15-16, 2025, Father Esteban and cantor Cristian Fernando Hidalgo visited the city of Bucaramanga, where they had the opportunity to share the Orthodox faith with the brothers and sisters in this area.

During their visit, Father Esteban and cantor Cristian met several Orthodox families and celebrated the Divine Liturgy in a special place, which became the center for this prayer gathering. After the service, there were confessions and the blessing of water, bringing a gift of divine grace to all those present.

This visit is part of the ongoing effort of the Romanian Orthodox Church "St. Martyr Ioan Valahul" in Barranquilla to spread the light of the Orthodox faith throughout Colombia, and the missionary activities in Bucaramanga are just beginning. Father Esteban and his missionary team have already laid a solid foundation for future religious and educational activities in the area.

Thus, Bucaramanga is becoming an important place in the life of the Romanian Orthodox Church in Colombia, and the mission continues to grow. Father Esteban is moving forward with dedication and love for his neighbors, and in the upcoming months, the parish will return to strengthen the spiritual bond with the community and to expand prayer and religious education activities.

This work is a true example of missionary devotion, and the "St. Martyr Ioan Valahul" Church in Barranquilla continues to be a beacon of hope and love for all those seeking a deep connection with Orthodoxy. The church remains a place of communion and traditions that unite, a presence full of love and support for all those who wish to live their Orthodox faith.

Together with Father Esteban and the parish volunteers, the Romanian Orthodox communities in Barranquilla and Bucaramanga are called to stay united and continue the mission of spreading Christian love and the message of unity. Every step of this missionary journey brings a sign of hope and a new beginning for Orthodoxy in Colombia.
